U.S. Embassy official meets with Pravetz students
Vince Campos, Press Attaché for the Embassy of the United States in Sofia, Bulgaria, visited City University of Seattle students for a lecture in November. More than 50 students from the Pravetz site attended the interactive discussion, which focused on the role of the government press office, according to the U.S. Department of State Web site.
Campos also spoke on the key principles of journalism and relationship between journalists and press office staff, in particular how policies are communicated to the private sector. CityU students also raised questions on U.S. policies that indirectly and directly concern Bulgaria, according the Web site.
Campos later met with Scott Mason, CityU’s Dean of Academic Affairs for Southeastern Europe, along with student parliament members. All discussed ideas on how the university and U.S. Embassy may work together in the future.
