Mary Glodowski, Class of 2006, won the Presidential Award for Excellence in Math and Science Teaching from the National Science Foundation. She was one of two Washington State teachers to receive the award. The Juanita High School teacher graduated with a M.Ed. in Technology from City University of Seattle.
Rebecca Johnson, Class of 2008, accepted an assistant principal position at Squalicum High School in the Bellingham School District. Johnson graduated from the Albright School of Education with her principal’s certificate. “I’m so thrilled about the job!” she says.
Paul Douglas, Class of 1999, became principal of Carter Lake Elementary School. The Albright School of Education graduate previously worked as principal at Auburn School District’s Olympic Middle School. Douglas’s new role was previously held by Charlotte Clouse, Class of 1996, who will become principal of Southgate Elementary School. Clouse graduated from the Albright School of Education and leaves the Clover Park district after more than 10 years of service.

Havens meets with a first grade class at Visitation Catholic School.
Ted Havens, Class of 2000, began his third year as principal of Visitation Catholic School in Forest Grove, Ore. The school, which is a part of the Archdiocese of Portland, broke a record for student enrollment this year with 140 students, preschool through eighth grade. Havens graduated from the Albright School of Education with his master’s degree in teaching.
